Star of Blessing -
Nature's Desert Miracle
The Star of Blessing is more than a flower - it's a desert-born symbol of resilience and quiet strength.
It blooms softly in the harshest landscapes, then, even after drying out, it doesn’t disappear. Instead, it curls inward, protecting its seeds and waiting for rain.
With just a few drops, it opens again, releasing life into the soil. When the rain ends, it closes - patient, enduring, ready for the next beginning.
This remarkable desert plant reminds us: even in stillness, there is power. Even after endings, life returns.

Our Story
My name is Oded Hamm, and I am a tour guide in Israel. In 1987, I pioneered a new form of tourism by offering Jeep tours to the deserts of Israel. My main focus has always been the history of humanity in the desert, as well as the indigenous plants and wildlife. Over the years of roaming the desert, I have encountered the wonders of nature, its adaptability to harsh conditions, and discovered some of nature's ingenious tricks for survival.
These unique plants have captivated me. The way they have found their own way to ensure survival in the harsh desert conditions is truly remarkable, showcasing the incredible ability of nature to foster resilience and continuity, even in the extreme environment of the Dead Sea region, which lies about 400 meters below sea level.
A few years ago, I began combining these unique plants with different products, such as jewelry that can be worn and enjoyed even outside the home, as well as stones that offer a piece of natural beauty in themselves. These products bring the uniqueness of nature into your home and beyond. Some of the pendants feature shapes with additional significance, such as various crosses, the Star of David, and the zodiac signs.
Each piece carries with it a quiet story—of survival, connection, and the beauty of the desert brought to life.

Interestingly, about 60% of Israel is desert. And yet, these arid lands are filled with life, beauty, and natural wonders. One of the most fascinating features of the Negev Desert is its craters - geological formations found in very few places around the world. Unlike craters formed by meteor impacts or volcanic eruptions, the Negev’s craters were carved slowly over millions of years by erosion, revealing stunning layers of ancient rock and vibrant desert colors. Much like these craters tell a story of time, pressure, and transformation, so does a unique desert plant known as the Rose of Jericho, also called the Resurrection Plant.
Though not related, it shares a remarkably similar survival mechanism to the Star of Blessing. When dry, it curls inward, protecting its seeds within tightly folded branches. But with the first drops of rain, it opens again, releasing seeds into the soil - bringing life back to the desert, season after season.
In Christian tradition, the Rose of Jericho is seen as a symbol of resurrection and spiritual rebirth. Some even believe it was blessed by Mary, the mother of Jesus.
A meaningful and unique souvenir from the Holy Land, the Resurrection Plant carries a timeless message of endurance, renewal, and the quiet power of hope returning with the rain.
